I’ve had mine about 18 months when I experienced the ‘blinking blue light’ behavior. I don’t know if this is of interest on the ix2. Now to FIX the email notification port and configuration… Initial look tells me that it doesn’t use sendmail Here’s how you get SSH access to your ix2. You will lose the ability to get email updates from the unit… This is a gem – exhange? Oh – and because it can’t possibly all be good. Hopefully it now recognizes it! Torrent movies and pr0n. While your doing that – Might as well sign up for the Iomega Support Forums Lots of moderated fun in there…īackup your data. Or an alias that forwards to your real email that you can shut down after you hit accept. It’s not nearly as bad as Cisco is – but you have to get a valid email. Other bad news is you’re going to have to sign up to the Iomega site with an email. This means that while your desktop is off and not using 500watts an hour your little ix2 can stay busy getting ‘the latest release of Fedora’***. The good news is that along with potentially fixing the UPS not recognized problem, you will get the torrent downloader. The latest firmware would be 2.9 or higher. You hit ‘update’ and your device tells you that you have the latest firmware! You don’t. Iomega Link to all the files and info for the Storcenter ix2 Not with the fan though – you’re clever, you’ll come up with something. Even after you use a crazy Google search like this… Every time you try to search for Iomega Storcenter ix2 (or maybe storecenter?) you get a thousand ‘re-view’s’ of how awesome it is and nothing about helping you solve issues or fix problems. So – Are you having a problem where your Storcenter ix2 won’t recognize your Uninterruptible Power Supply?įinal Problem #3. Fresh USB cable plugged in and – nothing. I finally obtained a Tripp Lite UPS and replaced the battery on it. Enable write caching and don’t worry when the power goes out when your in Tahiti. Having a ‘self aware’ storage device is pretty cool. I have been looking for a USB aware UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) for this device from day one. *cough **For reasons of ‘search’ the next model up is the ‘eye ex two hundred’ Let the sexy laptops and iPods take the credit while the hacked Linux device with wires and fans all over it gets the job done. It’s goofy looking utilitarian hardware that needs to be in the closet. It’s a 80mm PC fan bolted to the back of a $200 NAS drive. It’s already back in the closet, so I’m not getting a picture of it… Hell, you don’t want to see a picture of it. I put an over-sized ultra quiet fan with a dust filter on it. You can see that Iomega took a complete 180 when they came out with “ the new model“** What I suggest is you get out your Dremel and cut a nice hole in the back panel. Along with the fan the airflow through the device is just as bad. The fan is horrible and you probably have already done something about it. Then I found out that they were discontinuing the model because of some pretty obvious problems. I picked up this little guy a little more then a year ago for some cheap money. I’m talking about the (EMC) Iomega Storecenter ix2. Cold and wandering through the internets looking for something about how to mod and update this device. I’m posting this basically because I know others are out there on your own.

Overall, Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Silvery Eyes graphic novel is an excellent comic book. I also enjoy how the novels focus on the lives affected by the company’s dark deeds. I really enjoy having the games explore the businesses and key players in Freddy Fazbear’s history. Even if the lore was the same, the stories would still be very different. As stated previously, the novels and the games have different perspectives. I like that the novel series and the video games have separate lore. If all of those Batman comics had involved the same Bruce Wayne, we would be looking at a very old and tired man. Just think of how many iterations of Batman there have been. Comic book series, especially DC and Marvel series, reboot and restart stories and universes all the time. This series weaves not one, but two secretive stories.įor fans of comic books, this is nothing new. Anyone on the Five Nights At Freddy’s Reddit will be quick to tell you so. While there are crossovers in concepts, the lore of the novels/graphic novels is not the same as the lore in the games. MORE: Why Scott Cawthon Is An Indie Hero (Via Effective Nerd)> Claudia’s style is now iconic in the world of Five Night’s at Freddy’s. While I have seen (and drawn) more FNAF fan art than I should have in a lifetime, I cannot see any artist other than Claudia Schröder working on this series. The juxtaposition of fun children’s themes and murder/hauntings is part of what makes Five Nights at Freddy’s so great. This is a hard balance to walk, but one that is very much needed in the Five Nights at Freddy’s storyline. The artwork in Fnaf The Silver Eyes graphic novel is bright and colorful while retaining the darkness of the story. However, I was 100% confident that PinkyPills would knock it out of the park. I was really excited to see how Claudia would adapt The Silver Eyes novel into comic book form. We actually get to see people whose childhoods were affected by Bonnie, Chica, and Freddy. We are no longer looking through the eyes of an employee working at a haunted restaurant. I feel that this adds a layer of emotion to the story. This evokes a sense of nostalgia, just like the pizza places of our youth. I love the fact that The Silver Eyes shows us how important the pizzerias were to the main characters. There are only a few times in the series where we get the perspective of the actual customers. In The Silver Eyes, we get to see Freddy’s from the perspective of the children who went there. Most of the story’s perspective comes from employees of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza or Fazbear Entertainment. In the video game series, we typically assume the role of a nightguard. One aspect of FNAF The Silver Eyes that I love is the perspective of the story. As a huge fan of comic books, I was excited to hear about the novel being turned into a graphic novel. I read the original novel when it was originally released. I will admit that I was already familiar with the story of The Silver Eyes before reading this graphic novel. Any piece of art that sparks debate and conversation is great in my book. I often enjoy going on message boards like Reddit more than I like consuming the content itself. I am a theorist by nature, especially with television shows. I love how the story is told in very cryptic ways. Cheese-style animatronics seem to have taken on a life of their own.įive Nights At Freddy’s has been one of my favorite video game franchises for a number of years now. Once they return to the abandoned Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, they realize that things are not what they seem. The group decides to go back to the place where it all started. What was once a fun restaurant for families is now a traumatic memory. The killings were based around a local pizza shop known as Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Since this is a horror story at the 7th-grade reading level, this graphic novel is recommended for those at least age twelve.Ĭharlie and her friends come together years after a string of child murders. Of course, the game's graphics pale by comparison to today's hottest games using 16-bit color and 3D accelerator support, but more is not really needed here. The color choices and graphic design of the screens all seem very well thought out and nicely laid out. The special bonus marbles, which contain animations, are exquisite. A variety of textured backgrounds are available for the playing field, and the 3D multicolored marbles themselves are quite pretty. The graphics in the game are quite well done, given the game's requirements. Third, it would have been nice (and not very difficult) if you could have chosen among several sets of marbles to play with, but instead you are always faced with the same ones. Second, you can chose your starting game board only in practice mode or two-player mode, not in single player mode-this handicap is not only aesthetic, but also affects the availability of the special bonus marbles. First, there is no ability to save games, so if you made it through a number of rounds and have to quit, you have to start all over again. These bonus marbles are not always easy to come by, but they do add considerable spice and strategy to the game.ĭespite its overall success, the game design has a few shortcomings. You may also accumulate bonus marbles - named chain, column, and refugee - at various points in the game that have special properties to aid you in losing your marbles. These bonus rounds are incredibly difficult and not nearly as much fun as the regular rounds. You complete a number of rounds in each of several levels (each level has a different game board background), and after completing a level in single player mode you face a bonus round in which you have to eliminate as many marbles as possible in a specified time period. You may play at three levels of skill, with the highest making the game even more intense and fast-paced. You can play in single player mode against the computer, in two-player mode using the same keyboard, or against another player using a LAN. You can play with quite intuitive controls using the keyboard or the mouse, but I find that given all the movement involves vertical and horizontal shifts, the keyboard is preferable (this is decidedly not the kind of game where a game pad or joystick is particularly useful). The gameplay in Lose Your Marbles is fast and furious, with more going on at any moment than in other games of this type. While many games have emerged since Tetris that have players try to get objects of the same color or shape positioned together, Lose Your Marbles appears to be the best of the lot. You win when the opponent's play area is full of marbles. Once you do so, they disappear (sometimes dumping marbles on your opponent), but more and more marbles keep dropping down from the top. You may move your rows of marbles up or down, or move a specially designated "pitch line" from right to left, in order to get 3, 4, or 5 similarly-colored marbles in an unbroken horizontal array. The goal of Lose Your Marbles (which is quite aptly named) is to get rid of all your marbles as fast as you can. Lose Your Marbles has even more a sense of frenzied fun than Tetris, including a greater multiplayer orientation, and SegaSoft's pledge to refund your money if you do not find Lose Your Marbles better than Tetris is not likely to find many takers. It showed the virtues of 256-color VGA graphics and of 8-bit monaural sound in a pleasurable game environment. People seem to forget that the reasons for this game's success included not only that it could be played only on the computer (because of the animation involved) but also - most importantly - that it utilized state-of-the-art graphics and sound for the time. The release of Tetris in the late 1980s was of course the watershed for puzzle games that could really take advantage of the computer's unique capabilities. While puzzle games in recent years have included arcade action, colorful visuals and bouncy music, they tend to have a simpler and more restrained appeal than action games, war games, strategy games, adventure games or sports games. As a result, in recent months there have been very few commercial releases of puzzle games, with notable exceptions being Actual Entertainment's Gubble and Microsoft's Puzzle Collection. Force-feedback joysticks, 3D-card accelerated graphics, and Dolby surround sound are of little use in this kind of game. In the recent rush to use the very latest video, audio, and input technology in designing computer games, puzzle games alone appear to have been left behind. I’m not a big Pushmo puzzle creator, but the toolset on display in the studio here is impressive, giving you access to pretty much all of the tools the developers use in the main experience. You unlock the ability to use more tools – for both design and aesthetic purposes – as you progress through the packs. In addition to all four packs (and the worthwhile bonuses you get for beating all of them), you can also create your own puzzles. These puzzles also remove the ability to rewind time, making it a wholly unique and different experience from the other three packs. In each puzzle, you often need to manipulate enemies so you can reach the goal. The most interesting new concepts are on display in Fortress of Fun, though, which adds enemies to the puzzles. Both packs get challenging quickly, and if you’re a Pushmo pro, this might be where you should start if you don’t want to be bogged down by tutorials and simpler puzzles. Each puzzle in that one is based off of a classic NES sprite. The fourth pack is NES Expo, which puts you in control of the almighty Papa Blox. The second pack, called Sculpture Square, builds on that challenge with a series of 50 puzzles that feature the same mechanics but in more distinct sculpture forms. Because of that addition, a lot of the puzzles appear to have more solutions and require you to think more third-dimensionally than you had to in the past. In addition to moving the blocks forward and backward, you can also “stretch” the blocks out to the left or the right. However, these tutorials are a little more important because they introduce the new stretching mechanic. This pack harbors the tutorials that, like in the other games in the series, feel a little too long. The first pack, entitled Playtime Plaza features 100 relatively routine Pushmo challenges. After a brief suite of free levels, Stretchmo’s experience is split up into four packs that you can buy separately or in a price-reduced bundle. 05 Build a P6 Work Breakdown Structure P6 - Episode five, in our popular Primavera P6 training series: Build a P6 Work Breakdown Structure.06 Setting Up Calendars Primavera P6 - Episode 6, in our popular ten episode YouTube series Introducing users to Primavera P6.07 Adding Activities in Primavera P6 - Lesson seven, in our popular YouTube Primavera P6 Training Series: Adding Activities in P6.08 Intro to Primavera P6 Project Layouts - Episode eight in our popular YouTube Primavera P6 training series: Introduction to Primavera P6 Project….09 Add Schedule Logic in Primavera P6 (part 1) - Learn about Adding Schedule Logic in P6 in episode nine, part one of our two-part….
He catches up to her and in the exchange, Madam Hydra's face is burned when Captain America throws the shield at a munitions pile. After freeing him, he pursues Madam Hydra who has taken Falsworth. As he makes his way to rescue Dum Dum Dugan and Falsworth, Zola's experimental Super Soldiers escape.Ĭaptain America manages to find Dugan strapped to an examination bed in the middle of a brawl with Hydra forces. Captain America recovers his gear and proceeds to free Bucky Barnes, who informs him of other P.O.W.s in the base, giving Captain America a radio communicator to keep in touch while Bucky gets them to a train. He learns that some of his friends are being held near his present location. He shortly breaks free and proceeds through the base to destroy the samples of Zola's experiments for an army of Super Soldiers, dispatching Hydra troops and making his way to a radio to contact Peggy Carter. Zola "allowed" the Captain to live only to study Captain America's skills. After a brief talk of how his blood was taken, Zola shows his new project involving more test subjects containing the Super Soldier Serum from the Captain's blood. Strucker surprises Captain America and manages to knock him unconscious as they both fall from the exploding tower.Ĭaptain America is then taken to Zola's lab by Iron Cross and sees Madame Hydra give orders for an analysis of Captain America's shield. Fortunately, they all parachute out in time. The radio dish is destroyed, but the cannon still hits one of the wings of the plane carrying the Invaders. Unable to reach the cannon in time, he heads to the building housing the radio dish, encountering more and more of HYDRA led by Baron Wolfgang von Strucker.Ĭaptain America plants charges along the steel support beams of the radio dish tower to destroy it when Strucker intercepts Captain America, engaging in a fist fight. Having reported to Peggy that the Invaders are clear to drop, James Montgomery Falsworth questions whether all the guns are destroyed just as a radio dish and a hidden cannon emerge which Captain America identifies as more of Arnim Zola's dangerous machines. He then proceeds towards the armory in order to destroy the weapons before they are sold to the Nazis. He drops down in a village near the castle and disables anti-air forces so that the Invaders can enter the village. Arnim Zola has unlocked the secrets of the human genome as one step towards immortality. Captain America is briefed on Project Master Man and how Dr. While in communication with Peggy Carter, Captain America learns that the munitions recovered from the battle came from the mountains of Bavaria based on the rare metal used. Captain America arrives to save them and manages to fend them off before contacting Howard Stark with regards to the new threat. The Red Skull is pleased to hear this news. Strucker informs Zola that the mission has been accomplished and that they no longer need to concern themselves with finding Rogers, as he will be coming to them. He blocks their attack with his shield until Bucky Barnes and Dum Dum Dugan come to his aid and the three of them rally against oncoming HYDRA troops.Īt Castle Zemo, Arnim Zola and Baron Wolfgang von Strucker observe the battle on a screen. Once he defeats them, he is fired at by three Scorchers. A large battalion of soldiers and another tank appear on the horizon, and Rogers charges them head on, deflecting their attacks with his shield and attacking them with his enhanced combat skills. On a battlefield, Captain America charges towards an oncoming tank and dismantles it with his shield. The PC and PlayStation Portable versions were cancelled. Ī significant feature has Chris Evans, Neal McDonough, Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, JJ Feild, and Kenneth Choi reprising their roles from the film. Several classical Captain America villains such as Madame Hydra, Baron Zemo and Baron von Strucker that weren't featured in the movie appears in the game (though unexplained Von Strucker would later appear in the film's sequel, Captain America: The Winter Soldier). Arnim Zola also appears in the game as players will have to stop his evil experiments. HYDRA's castle appears in the game as Captain America has to fight many henchmen such as the infamous Iron Cross, the forces of HYDRA, and Red Skull. The story of the game takes place during the events of the film, explaining Captain America's adventures against the Red Skull and HYDRA all over Europe as established in the film.
